My baggage did not fall open as you suggest.I was left stranded with no money or ID at Manila airport all night waiting for my bag to arrive next morning on another flight . it had (along with the belongings of 6 other passengers)...Been mistakenly (by yourselves left behind in Singapore).The bag had all the padlocks forcibly removed and my losses were Chocolate..A mobile phone..An Ipad..My wallet with 500aud.All my bankcards..All my student IDs.Various dresses and pants..It was broken open while under your watch..And I was not alone..And this was not an isolated case! Now you say you are not responsible...But you are! I have spoken to Jetstar in Australia..They inform me that All checked luggage is your responsibility...So no more bullshit eh! Get your act together and give me what you must...The truth and my belongings returned ! Alternatively I can approach talk back radio stations here and the press ..Tell them the real story and this will no doubt cast great harm on your firm...Please advise..Geraldine B Guitan!

Thank you for responding to our email dated 18 April 2016. I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our response.

I understand your frustration but I’m afraid that Section 7.4 Restrictions on Checked Baggage of our Conditions of Carriage does state that You must not include in your Checked Baggage: fragile, delicate or perishable items, items with a special value, such as money, jewellery, precious metals, silverware, computers, personal electronic equipment including compact discs, negotiable papers, share certificates, securities or other valuable documents.

Our liability for loss or Damage to your baggage is limited. If you carry items in contravention of these Conditions of Carriage, we will use all available defences against any claim in respect of any Damage, loss or destruction of those items. This information is available on our website and you agreed to it when you made your booking.

Thank you again for taking the time to write to us. I am sorry for your disappointment but I'm afraid we are unable to change our position at this time.
