i got told today id get a refund but my sister can only get voucher

I just wanted to share that i called jetstar today and got a full refund on my flights to tokyo on the 11th may and back on the 20th may. The lady was really nice and gave me all the alternative options but said i can also choose a refund so of course i said i want a refund. she put me on hold for 5mins then said its been processed and should appear on my credit card in 15 business days. However my sister who also booked flights but to osaka on the 15th may to the 23 may was told she can only get vouchers and jetstar is not giving refunds. Not sure what the heck is going on there but it could be that i actually paid $700 for my flights and she got the 2 for 1 sale. only time can tell if ill get my refund in 15 business days.

thats not true i think it

thats not true
i think it depends on who you get to speak to
get your sister to call again and request full refund
also see the other threads about Japan refund
i booked to travel to Osaka in June, and was told I can get full refund... i'm still counting the 15business days...

@ June, However, the

@ June, However, the announcement on 1 April is meant that you will only get voucher for Japan booking between 11-4-2011 and 30-6-2011. So I could admit that SC is just lucky to get a refund, as there is a rule announced. But just like June said, it depends on the operator and whether his/ her knowledge and willingness to speak to their supervisor to override and approve the refund instead of voucher. I also noted that there is different in the destination whether this may vary the decision or not. If your sister has not asked for voucher , just ring JS again and you will talk to different operator and may get another result. If she already accepts the voucher there is no way to revert it.

Don't hold your breath on

Don't hold your breath on that refund!!!

Maybe it has something to do

Maybe it has something to do with the situation in Tokyo being far more unsafe than the situation in Osaka
