Indonesian Jetstar phone number not working, waiting 30 minutes with no answer on Australian number; answer in 5 mins on US number

Just tried to get in touch with Jetstar to add a checked bag for our flight from Indonesia to Australia.

The customer number provided for Indonesia does not work. At all. From any phone.
Thanks Jetstar!

Called the Australian number, to no avail. Hung up after 30 minutes of waiting on the line, getting nauseated with sickly sweet Jetstar promotion shoved down your throat. How do you spell customer abuse? J-E-T-S-T-A-R!

Called the U.S. based number from my Gmail (free calls to U.S. numbers), expecting yet another hour being robbed from my life.
I waited 5 minutes. Should have thought of this before.
No American would wait patiently and stupidly for an airline hotline. They would take their business elsewhere.

Not sure if this was just a fluke, or favourable time zone alignment, or if the U.S. customer service is more responsive, but if you have trouble, maybe try it as well.

As for adding checked baggage. Fair enough if you want to flog customers extra to add baggage after a finalised booking.
What is the problem though with providing a simple, web-based solution?
