Jetstar has LOST my money

I booked a flight through Jetstar and in stead of paying the high booking fee price I decided too direct debit. After 3 calls to the call centre and the first person saying that it was fine and because my bank doesn't show a transfer reference I could fax my payment reciept through and all will be fine because they can match the reciept to the payment..the second person hung up on me because it was too hard..and the 3rd person again confirmed that yes this was the process and by faxing it they can match my payment. So I paid the $294 for my flights and faxed my reciept..thought all was good...Instead on the next business day (3 days later) i get a call saying they have this fax but a payment can't be match liked this and if they can't allocate it to a booking it goes into a holding account, oh and by the way the flights you booked are no longer reserved but you can always book them again but at this time we still need to find your money..so 5 weeks later and many phone calls, emails, etc they still cannot find an electronic transfer that has clearly left my bank account and entered there account. The CS rep explains that there is 30 transactions for $294 on that day and it will take time to identify mine..I would of thought that it would be easy because my bank acct number and BSB are are one off combination..but they can't tell me when they are going to be bothered to actually find my money. I doon't care anymore i just want my refund because now II have had to pay for my flights twice. Maybe fair trading can sort them out..
