Jetstar is not value for money - too many problems

Late last year I booked jetstar flights for my family and paid over $2,500 via POLI, according to Jetstar they never received payment, the problems I had with the call center and finally trying to get some help from Qantas I still received no help at all. I had all the paperwork to prove that I made complete payment and the call centre asked me to fax my bank account details and personal information to Malaysia to prove my payment which I refused to do. Finally after 6 weeks Jetstar confirmed that in fact they had reveived payment 6 weeks prior. I was frustrated and annoyed that I had to wait forever to speak to anyone in the call center most of the staff unhelpful and they seemed to not really care. I should have known better after reading this website and I told myself to never book with jetstar again no matter how cheap their flights are.
We are a large family and our travel costs are huge but in all honesty I will never fly Jetstar again!!!!!! I would rather pay extra to not have the problems that I have experienced with Jetstar, even though their ads on telly make it look like they are the cheapest but boy they fall down in so many other areas.
Consumers dont forget a bad deal and this website is a great way to allow us to have our say, since Jetstar isn't listening.

Good Post Cheryl- unfortunately consumers are sheep and are easily sucked in by cheap sale fares. In my experience when you tell others about problems such as yours they seem to behave like ' it will never happen to them'. Despite this if we want Jetstar to change we have to keep spreading the word- many people fly with Jetstar and experience no problems, but when you have a problem with Jetstar it often escalates into a really big problem- and flying with Jetstar can be downright expensive when things go wrong- simply making it not worth it t

I to recently booked flights with jetstar only to find that they had not received my money. I paid using PayPal and the money came straight from my account and I have records from both my bank and PayPal that my payment was made only jetstar has no record of this do they do this to people to gain interest on money sitting in another account then when the customer starts complaining they have to try and trace it. Well I'm really not impressed I was also told that it had to be my bank or PayPal because their booking system was fool proof nothing could possibly go wrong from that end, how is this so when every other party can provide proof that the money was transferred. All I can say now is once bitten twice shy and I will pay through the roof prices if it means I never have to use jetstar again.

Jetstar have never cared

Jetstar have never cared about their customers and never will. END OF STORY!!!!!! I attempted to make a booking using a Voucher and it clearly asks for your credit/debit card details BEFORE it asks for the voucher number, and when you do it THEIR way, the value of the voucher is NOT taken off the total amount of the booking.

I have contacted them three times regarding this. The first time I was told you have to enter the voucher number BEFORE your credit/debit card details (which is not how it is shown on the booking website), then called again to see where my money was and was told it would take 5-7 working days to get MY money back.

Called again to see where my money is, and then get told it will take 15 working days - that is MORE than three weeks - what the heck?????

They want their money immediately, but want the use of ours for over three weeks so they can get as much interest as legally possible and stuff the customer.

Their call center in Malaysia SUCKS! If they learned how to speak ENGLISH it would be good, but that's NEVER going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!
