Missed flight because 'delayed flight' was not in fact delayed

My extremely unpleasant experience with this an amateur, disastrous airline:

Got to Gate departure lounge at KL 1 hour before flight to Singapore.(8.20pm) Not allowed to go into departure lounge even though we were earlier told boarding was at 8.40. No info given why. No info on screens. No info outside entrance. Nowhere to sit. Eventually told (8.45) that there was a delay and to return to enter Gate (not board) at 9.50pm. Went for coffee 200 metres away.
My name was called over PA at 9.20 to go to the Gate. Rushed to the Gate - time was 9.24. Told could not board - flight was closed. All sorts of excuses from ground crew, none of which made sense.

THE 'DELAYED FLIGHT' WAS IN FACT LEAVING ON TIME.

Tough to re-book flights with other airlines. Tough to find hotel for the night.

Eventually booked with Air Asia for next day through an agent. Booked hotel 25 min taxi drive away.
Both, being last-minute, were costly.
Ended up having an awful experience and being 600 Singapore Dollars less well off.

Complaints procedure for these cowboys? Non-existent. Knowing that they provide such a poor, amateurish service they are careful not to give office addresses and to make it very difficult to even talk to anyone in person on the phone.

Reading all the other complaints, a regular pattern emerges, and I guess I'm one of the latest victims.

DON'T TAKE THIS AIRLINE. Jetstar? Jetcrap.

Qantas what are you doing associating with this passenger-basher?
