NO REFUND on Airport Taxes, Baggage and seat allocations !

This is the message i left on Jetstars FB wall today:

Hello everyone thinking of booking Jetstar Internationally..... DONT DO IT !

I dont usually write massive complaints on company walls however I am so annoyed !

I booked a sale fare to with Jetstar for 3 x people from Perth to Bali for February 2013.
...
They were $135 return + baggage and seats etc (all up around $200 return)

I, like many people, love a good cheap flight and knew that if i had to cancel for some reason that I wouldnt get all my fare back.....

I DID however expect that I would receive my airport taxes and charges back .... so you can imagine my mood when I called customer service to explain that we were no longer able to go, only to be told we would get NOTHING BACK ! .... nothing ... not even the $40 we paid each for baggage and seat allocation.

HOW can an airline keep your money for a service that you havent even used? baggage ? seats ? airport taxes ? I am disgusted.

I had to cancel a flight on Thai airways in 2009 and in a 10min converstaion I was advised my airport taxes and charges would be refunded no issues. It seems Jetstar are the only ones who keep your money.

So I have decided NOT to cancel my 3 seats ... I will be booking for alternative dates on a rival airline for MUCH cheaper than Jetstar were charging ($70 per sector per person PLUS fare difference .. nearly $300 per person to change)

Those 3 seats on Jetstar will be sitting there empty .... I am not giving you the satisfaction to be able to sell them again.
