Online Fare not available to call centre agent

I'm too fuming to be patient enough to articulate clearly, but after buying a sale fare for $109.00 and accidentally booking for 1 week early, I accepted that I would have to pay a change fair.

But when I call Jetstar up they tell me that the same $109.00 fare is not longer available even though I was looking at it on-line so not only do I have to pay the $75 change fee I need to pay another $35 far difference because she cant find the fair.

The crap bit - I'M STILL LOOKING AT THE CHEAP FAIR ONLINE - AAAAAAAAAAARGGGHH!!!!!

Why cant she see it???

The irony is the fees = same cost as the flight. Jetstar is Jetcrap!!!!

Fares through contact centres

Fares through contact centres cost more no matter what airline you fly and often it does cost as much as re-booking. Annoying - lots! Most don't offer the online fare or if they do you pay an extra fee for them to book you/change your flight. I have sucessfully changed a flight online but I think it was Virgin/Pacific Blue and paid $50 per person plus any change in current price - grr, annoying but like you it was my fault.

But that's a very minor JetStar problem - if that's all that happens you are very lucky. Many of us will never fly JetStar again unless our lives were in serious danger and it the only way out. The reasons: Cancelled flights (when you are already at the airport), severe delays, lost luggage, stupid rescheduling that makes you miss the event you are flying for, inability to get the "help" desk to even understand you and then promises to help that never, ever happen, and much more.
