Jetstar Complaints

unable to contact Jetstar call centre

I was on a return flight from Sunshine Coast the other day. I wanted to buy check in luggage over the phone which I could not do online since I bought my ticket from flight centre. Long story short, I was on hold for over 22 min with Jetstar call centre which finally had to hand up. I had to pay $70 at the airport to but luggage only because of poor customer service of Jetstar would not take my call...I will never going to travel with them.

jetstar worst airline in goverment stats !

I don't know any airline in New Zealand or Australia that gets feed back so bad as jetstar do on their facebook page and it is allways the same , nothing ever changes , customer service at jetstar is just an act to make people think they care !

Jetstar are the worst airline in Australia ( going by the official government stats ) for canceling flights and late departures and arrivals .
They cancelled over 1100 flights Last year !
But they had a 13 percent increase in passenger numbers last year over their whole fleet , so shit service must be what everyone wants !...

I was just wanting to know has anyone ever met a jetstar employee like in their adds ?

UNFAIR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CHANGING A PASSENGERS NAME

Back in July we booked a return trip Auckland -Wellington to see the World of Wearable Arts .Unfortunatley due to ill health i can not make the trip ,so decided to let my partners sister take my place. This is where it turned to custard to change the name on the booking cost another $280.00 this was after they let me of $80.00 because of ill health .Trying to point out to someone that cant speak english that they are profiteering from my misfortune fell on deaf ears .this idiot was programmed like a robot to follow company policy .Even after pointing out that most weeks i fly to...

$360 to check in baggage!!

We were travelling home from Christchurch. Had a great experience flying with Air New Zealand followed by a disgraceful flight home with jet star. We had forgotten to pay for check in baggage prior to arriving at the airport but we were told over the phone by a jetstar consultant that the fee would be slightly more than if we pre booked it. When we arrived to the airport we were told that anything we checked in up to15kg would be $160!!!!! Even in the scenario of only checking in 1kg. In other words no room for reasonable negotiation. Unfortunately we had 22kgs as there was 2 adults and a...

LOST BAGGAGE

Flew in from Bali Depansar via Singapore on the flight JQ116 on 19/09/12. Transitted in Singapore for approx. 2 hours before boarding my flight home to NZ, Auckland (flight JQ216). Arrived in Auckland on 20/09/12. Went to pick up my x1 baggage item, and to my dismay it was not there. Went to file a claim with the baggage claims desk - promptly got handed a few sheets that I will be contacted within a few hours on where it is. Three hours later, no response, so I contact them. Very trying as I can't seem to get through. 8 hours later, after ringing on the hour, I seem to get through...

I bet they wont pay me a change fee

No real big deal but just got told via an email that our return flight in October has been resheduled for about 3 hours later..

Seeing as they charged me a $120 change fee when I requested a change (due to an error by me picked up within 24 hours) I wonder what my chances are of getting $120 out of them for this change ...

No, I thought that might be the answer LOL

Jokestar - even their Vouchers don't work

Posted to JS FB page tonight...
Just tried to use your complimentary Voucher that you gave me for the screw over I got when your systems didn't work.. Thought I'd give you another chance and use it to book additional travel. Whatta ya know, your Voucher didn't work either. Eat a Sausage Jetstar, never flying you EVER, you are a frikkin joke!

bad service and stupid staff.

I booked my flight for 5 pax to Bangkok on the 19 Sep 2012 for travel on 18 Jan 2013- 22 Jan 2013. This
morning when I received the itinerary via email sent by jetstar, to my dismay, saw that the departure
date was stated as 17 Jan 2013. I called up your hotline immediately and spoke to one of your staff
informing her of the wrong date stated in the email sent to me. She asked me if I was sure I did not
select the wrong date. I told her I was with 4 other friends when we made the booking and I am very
sure that there were no mistakes before submission as we...

Dumbfounded

Try and book a domestic flight within New Zealand with Qantas and your redirected to Jetstar.
How & why is Jestar (subsidiary company of Qantas) allowed to fly domestic within NZ?
The Australian Government reneged on a deal to allow AirNZ to fly domestic within Australia?
This was the whole point of AirNZ buying out Ansett, for AirNZ/Ansett to fly domestic within Australia.
Sometimes I wonder, flying with AirNZ/Ansett rather than Jestar or Tiger? ? ?
I know who I'd rather have preferred. . .

Changing flight by 1 week costs 2.3 times the original fair...JS run a sophisticated Internet Scam!!!!

We booked and paid for a return flight to Cairns (from Sydney) for a family of 5, cost $1,700. Not really a bargin in itself, but tolerable. Then due to family reasons we need to delay the trip exactly one week. The flight was booked for November and we requested the change in early August, so nearly 4 months advanced notice. The additional cost to make the change was $2,200 and the only other alternative was to forfeit the original booking and go with another airline. This is a 230% increase for changing a flight by one week with 4 months advanced notice (not in school holidays or...

Pregnant mum could only fly one way, not back home !!!

Another absurd carry on from shitstar....

You have to wonder why??!!!

At 35 weeks pregnant, Sarah Clear was feeling noticeable enough already. The last thing she wanted was to be escorted off a plane in front of 150 passengers.

check-in closure during check-in procedure

Hi,

words fail me, however i will try to explain what happened. today we arrived on time at the airport. during check-in we found out that we have problems with our coming back visa to australia so we had to rebook a virgin flight (customer service there was very friendly and helpful). we knew that check-in will close at 11:15 so my friend was going back to jet-star to make sure we can catch the flight. I was waiting for the print-out at virgin and then running "for my life" to the check-in. i arrived at 11:17 and although my boyfriend was already talking with the check-in lady she...

phonenumber from customer services +61386722400

I had posted earlier about Jetstar loosing my baggage.
I had been paid compensation but in local currency instead of my nominated aust $.
I got a phonecall from a lady (name slips my mind) who told me that I have been paid (I hadn't been paid as of yet) also she wanted to talk to me about my abusive emails where I had put in a few F and C bombs.
I told her I will not apologize for that, since your finance department screwed up won't reply to me, or anyone from baggage services either for 3weeks. Not to mention the cut n paste replies from previous replies.

Valued Customer - Hardly !!!

I have just received the most condescending letter today from the Manager of Jetstar Customer Experience. I sent through and enquiry not a complaint about a mistake that I had made for an online booking for my Mum. I accidently booked the flight incorrectly (I booked the same flight path again instead of booking the return leg). I acknowledge the error and by no means wanted to be compensated as stated in the letter. All I was asking Jetstar to do was to allow me to change the booking and of course pay the difference in the fare if required. The letter I received focused on Jetstar...

Booking 'mistake'

I booked a flight online and then immediately realized that the wrong date had gone through. Within seconds I was on the phone to Jetstar to rectify the mistake. I'm swearing black and blue that I entered the correct date and when I navigate back to the page the correct date is still there. Regardless, you would think that a grace period for mistakes would be reasonable and sensible. Um...no. $60 penalty and the privilege of being treated like a liar by a jerk. Never again, Jetstar.

Booking Change and Customer Service

Jetstar's midnight flight schedule is ambiguos. Not only is it difficult to navigate, but the selection of flights to Perth are incredibly limited. When we realised we had mixed up the times (12am day is next day = confusion) we immediately (not days later, but straight away) called up the Jetsatr number, only to be put on hold and transferred to Qantas: explain our scenario and give our details only to then be put on hold again and transferred to Jetstar like we originally wanted (to then be asked the same questions again.....joy). After this, we explain to the inspid Julia (with a...

I can't believe they charge a $120 change fee without any flexibility in the case of an error

I booked a return flight to Tasmania with the wrong date. I realised the next day that I had put in the wrong month and rang Flight Centre to change the booking which I had made through their online website.

After waiting 20 minutes on the phone I eventally got through and it was fixed very quickly but not until I had incurred a $120 Jetstar change fee and $82.50 in Flight Centre fees. After several phone calls I got the Flight Centre fees refunded. Common sense prevailed.

I then rang Jetstar and the girl I spoke to was very unsympathetic and after some pushing referred me to...

Handbag weighed?

Yesterday we about to check in for our flight with a hand luggage suitcase each, a medium LV handbag and a soft cover briefcase. I also had a paperbag with a womens weekly, bottle of water and a light jacket. The Jetstar women insisted that all this had to be put on the scales which of course made our total weight over. She wanted $70 for the handbag and light briefcase. Exactly the same luggage we had gone down with on the Friday! A total ripoff. I was happier to cab it to Tulla and buy new flights on Virgin which is exactly what I did. No problem with hand luggage there a

PoLi/Refund Woes, Girl at the help desk asked me who PoLi was ? Un-tranined blondes !

Jetstar, I am surprised your still in business, seriously when I left Launceston you had no record of payment I made via PoLi so I had to pay you yet again via CC, mmm only to be told I have to chase a refund, now, I booked online again the other night for my return at 5 pm and again paid by PoLi, now both times funds have been debited from my account, I arrive at check in at the airport in the morning only to be told my booking has been cancelled, wtf, and now to re book will cost me a extra $50 another wft, I explained the blonde over dressed, painted face bimbo that I paid via PoLi and...

$800 to change a passengers name?

July I booked flights for September to Bali for myself and a friend. As the dates were specific, I forked out $1,300 per passenger to fly on the specific dates. The only thing I didn't analyse is the fact the flights were with JetStar. After my friend telling me he was unable to go I searched online to 'Manage my bookings' which is really "We have no website connections to your booking, so just call us and talk to a second-language speaking drone". After waiting 30minutes I was told it would cost an extra $800.00 to change the name of a passenger. After playing verbal chess with the moron...

To jetstars CEO David Hall, another very bad jetstar story !

I wrote the letter below to jet star ,later they called me by phone and lied to me , they said it was company policy that you must have 6 months on your passport to fly on a jetstar flight , but my wife read the conditions of carriage and there is nothing that says this ,their conditions of carriage says that it is up the the passenger to make sure that they comply with all the imigration requierments of the country they are traveling to and my wife fully complied with this .
also they told us that they could not stop the sick women from flying , but she clearly breached at least 3...

That's why I don't fly Sh*t Star!

I have had nothing but problems with this horrid airline, with rude staff, delays and cancelations.

Their staff really need some serious customer service skills, especially after reading someone's comments about the cabin announcements like this...

http://www.shaun.pro/?p=65

“Please be careful of opening the overhead lockers as your duty-free alcohol may smash on your head before you get a chance to enjoy it. Please also make sure any valuable items aren’t left behind or they will be distributed amongst the cabin crew.”

Cheapest Service Quality Guaranteed

My flight got cancelled 3 hours before due departure.

Ground junior staff said it by mistake that they over-sold our tickets - means to ensure the flight is full they sell more seats than they have to expect somebody not turning up. If all turn up, then cancel you!!! (Of course quickly the senior staff steps in and says it's due to the whether, but when the weather in Christchurch is perfect, they even express their fake care to your safety saying would you rather fly and risk your life. Treat you like kid)

Then you call the 0800 to listen to a long promotion to say how...

Flight delayed no support on destination for missed fligjt connection to Jakarta with different airline

Dear All,
Yesterday 26th of August, the Jetstar fligth JQ81 from Darwin to Bali was delayed 2h30! The flight was schedulled to 19h25 and only take off from Darwin at 21h!

At Darwin airport the Jetstar staff was confirming that on the arrival, there was Jetstar staff to support us and give us night acomodation and add us on the next flight to Jakarta... as we would miss the domestic flight of Citilink airline from Bali to Jakarta!

When we arrived Bali we went looking for the Jetstar staff, that actually doesnt exist, as they subcontract the service to the indonesian...
