Flight cancellations from Bali on Saturday

Last Updated: 02/12/2017 12:04 PM

Flying conditions at Denpasar Airport are expected to be clear throughout the day today, however the forecast for tonight has deteriorated and several flights have been cancelled as a result. A full list of cancelled flights is below.

At this stage Jetstar and Qantas will still operate seven flights out of Bali today while it is safe to do so to get as many people back to Australia as possible.

We are contacting affected customers on cancelled flights directly and will automatically rebook you once flights resume.

We understand how frustrating this situation is and apologise for the unexpected change to your travel plans.

Our senior pilots will make further assessment tonight and tomorrow morning based on the latest information from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre. We will provide customers with an update if the situation changes.

We will provide our next regular update by 7pm AEDT tonight.

CUSTOMERS IN BALI

If you have been affected by these flight cancellations, you will be automatically booked on to flights as soon as they resume. Please do not manually rebook your flights. You will be contacted directly via email and SMS with your rebooking details.

For customers on scheduled services, before heading to the airport please check the status of your flight from the Flight status page on Jetstar.com or via our smartphone app.

Customers will be booked on to relief flights in order of who has been disrupted longest. If you have been affected by flight cancellations prior to 30 November and you have not yet received and email or SMS from us about relief flights, please get in touch with us via the ‘Chat now’ button at the top of this page.

CUSTOMERS IN AUSTRALIA

Due to the unpredictability of volcanic activity and the potential for further diversions and cancellations, we will not be operating any flights from Australia to Bali on Saturday. A list of cancelled flights is below.

If conditions remain clear, we will look to resume scheduled services from Australia to Bali in the coming days.

If you are booked to fly to Bali between Saturday, 25 November and Friday, 15 December we encourage you to consider these three alternative options available to you:

Your new outbound flight must depart on or before Thursday, 14 December and your inbound (return) flight must depart on or before Thursday, 28 December.

You can fly to one of these alternative destinations:

Note: In order to travel to these alternative destinations you must make your own way to the Australian city these flights depart from.

To change your holiday destination, click on the ‘Chat now’ button at the top of this page and we will make this change for you. If you are reading this in our smartphone app please open this travel alert on Jetstar.com using your phone’s web browser. When you do that you’ll see the chat button at the top of this page, as well.

Option 2: Change your travel dates

Change the date of your travel to Bali up to Thursday, 14 June 2018. We will waive the booking change fee for this move but the fare difference will still apply.
