Last Updated: 26/06/2018 07:42 AM

From June 30, the Australian Government will introduce restrictions on carrying powders on international flights from Australia.

Inorganic powders which include salt, sand, some talcum products will be limited to 350ml in volume or 350g in weight.

There are no restrictions on the carriage of organic powder materials such as baby formula, protein powder and most cosmetics.

Other powders exempt from the restriction include medical or therapeutic products and cremated remains (ashes).

These requirements are in addition to the current restrictions relating to carrying liquids, aerosols and gels in cabin baggage.
