Kansai Airport Resuming Operation
Kansai International Airport (Osaka) Terminal 1, where Jetstar flights operate from, is continuing to resume operation after being closed following significant damage caused to facilities and equipment from a severe Typhoon (Jebi).
Many Jetstar international and domestic flights, to and from Osaka, will resume normal operations from 19 September however, until the airport resumes full capacity, a number of cancellations still apply. A full list of cancelled and operating flights is below.
If your flight has been cancelled, you will be contacted directly via SMS and email with alternative options. Please ensure your contact details are up to date by visiting the Manage My Booking Page.
Please note, our call centres are currently experiencing significant traffic however this Travel Alert will be updated regularly with all the latest information.
If you are due to travel to Osaka in the coming days and wish to change your travel plans, there are a number of options available to assist. Please log into Manage Booking with your booking reference number to look at flight options.
Our aim is to resume all our schedule flights as soon as it is safe for us to do so however it may take some time to resume a full schedule.
Please note: Kansai International Airport may be congested as services resume therefore, we recommend all passengers using online check-in and arrive at least two hours prior to your flight departure time. For more details, please check the airport homepage https://www.kansai-airport.or.jp/en/.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
