Our flight from Cairns to Tokyo Narita was cancelled due to weather (typhoon).
After brief check of JMA weather forecast & Narita homepage I was a little bit upset.
At the specific arrival time the weather should be fine. Friend of mine just arrived 1h earlier from Guam
in Narita. At that time it was just raining.
I guess cancellation was done because the flight wasn't fully booked. Luck for Jetstar. They don't have to pay a compensation due to bad weather....
Next time I will choose another more reliable airline. Good luck Jetstar. This is far away from customer service which I'm used to from Japan.
Another Japanese told me in the hotel lobby that they also cancelled flights on 12/10 due to weather although the typhoon was far away from Tokyo.
