DISGUSTING & DECEPTIVE SERVICE - blatant lies!

My recent flight from Melbourne to Bangkok was delayed 3 hrs immediately after checking through customs at the recommended 3 hours prior to departure, so 6 hours to sit around the airport...not happy...but it got worse because the flight then got cancelled another 3 hours later. WE WERE TOLD AT THE AIRPORT that we would be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses and anyone living more than 1 hour away would be put up in a hotel. I lost a whole day at the airport, missed meeting my UK friends in Bangkok and was out-of-pocket for my hotel and taxi fares again.
They will now NOT HONOUR my expenses because I only live 43 minutes from the airport instead of 1 hour. What a lot of nonsense! I LOST A WHOLE DAY WHICH IS LONGER THAN 43 MINS AND $200! How is this fair? Especially when I later learnt that the same flight was cancelled a day earlier due to technical difficulties.....So they knew there was a chance it would get cancelled again but didn't care about the cost and inconvenience to passengers "in case" they could minimise their own costs. I received no notification at all, no sms, no email, just the departure board AT the airport AFTER i checked in! They offered to give me a jetstar voucher for $100 that expires in 6 months.....I cannot afford to go on another holiday so how is this any consolation...it will only cost me more and put more money in their coffers!
When i finally was on my way, the meal was dry and tasteless and the toilets totally gross as the floor was saturated with urine, this was early on in the flight and never cleaned for the whole duration.
Shame on you Jetstar/Crapstar!
