JetStar stuf-ups

I booked a Jetstar flight from Perth to Kuala Lumpur which went via Singapore. At Perth I was told that I need to collect my bag and re-check at Singapore. Before the flight landed at Singapore an announcement was made that in-transit passengers should proceed to the Transit Counter and collect tickets and that the luggage will be transferred.
I did so but on arrival at KL I did not get my bag. I was asked to go to the Missging Luggage desk and lodged a report, which I did.
Two days later I was rung to say my bag was located and that I could collect it as they could no deliver it to me. I made a trip to the KLIA airport just to find out that it was not my bag. A day later, I was rung again and on this occasion I made sure it was my bag before going to the airport.

For the inconvenience, I was given a form to claim $(Sin) 25. I refused to make this claim as it did not cover the inconvenience of making 2 trips to the airport, the cost of clothes I had to purcase for the 4 days and more importantly missing a wedding party as I could not go to Ipoh. Basically my whole purpose of the trip was stuffed.

On my return I have rung their Customer Care and have been assured that someone will contact me. This has been going on for several weeks. I have sent emails which asked me to contact JetstarAsia. I have also written to them and not received any reply.

WILL I EVER TRAVEL BY JETSTAR AGAIN? Hope someone can tell me what to do next. Where is the Ombudsman when you need one?
