Shitstar lives up to its name!

I gave Jetstar this name after an incident four years ago when I was about to fly to Newcastle out of BNE and was told the flight was delayed because of bad weather there. I phoned my staff member who was due to pick me up and asked how bad the weather was, only to be told he was at the Newcastle airport and it was fine and sunny. When I confronted the Shitstar staff, they cringed with embarrasement and said they had been told to tell all passengers this. Now onto the latest and this one is a purler. I was attending an international travel expo in Darwin and had my trade promotional gear booked on board. Upon arrival in Darwin, yep you guessed it - it was missing. The Shitstar DRW ground handlers had no idea what had happened to it and BNE didnt either. Day One of the Expo has come and gone, Day Two of the Expo has come and gone. Day Three morning, the Shitstar German Sales Manager who was also attending the Expo, took time out to go to the airport and found my materials and very kindly brought them back. He was a trooper and he was highly uncomfortable with what had happened to me. I was contacted by someone from an international call centre who could not a) speak eligible english b) did not know what a banner was c) called me Mr d) and in his sheer frustration said Sorry then hung up. Shitstar - avoid like the plague, it is simply not worth the angst, bother and upset. Plus they are now responsible for the new breed of traveller who are the cause of major disruptions and inflight upsets. Simply not worth it and if you look at Alan Joyce, he caused the same with his previous budget airline roles - they are only now righting what was a mess he left behind. Sad to see that Tourism Australia back Joyce's calls for Qantas to be dehubbed - interesting that the chair of TA is Geoff Dixon - previous CEO of Qantas.
