another cancelled flight

not again? yesss i live near goldcoast airport and i have a daughter who lives in adel and two who live in Syd. kate has a 1yr old daughter and pregnant(3mths) Turns up at Syd with plenty of time cause you know what being 2 mins late for checkin means...sorry youv'e missed your flight! Sorry Kate your flights been cancelled.
Last year i flew to Syd (with virgin...on time) but coming back with Jstar the fight which was booked & payed for 2 wks in advance was cancelled & for 3hours jetstar told us nothing about what was happening and vacated their service desk. So 4 hours later i get on a flight. My daughter came up for a week's visit...she runs her own buisnees so punctuality is important. Guess what she came with Virgin no probs, going home Jstar cancelled her flight 3 days in a row,(by sms) can you believe that? Good 4 us we get to spend 3 xtra days with our daughter and grand daughter but her husband had to work ten days straight & pay a casual to help him do the till evry night.
These dont count the times that flights were delayed. Everyone wants to save a dollar on airfares the same as they do when filling up their car with petrol but because you get the best price doesn't mean the petrol bowser stops for 3 hours. Every one i know always checks virgins prices B4 Jstars and most will pay up to $20 xtra, come on Virgin get more flights in Jstar's price range...You wont even have to match them. Cheap fares shouldn't mean cancelled flights.

In 2010 Virgin actually

In 2010 Virgin actually cancelled the most number of flights in Australia. I think you have just been unlucky. I myself have flown Virgin and received a phone call that the flight was cancelled. The upside to Virgin is that with many routes they have hourly services which means they can often pop you onto the next one or earlier one. If you have to be somewhere by a certain time, probably best not to book with Jetstar. If you're flexible and want to save some money, no issue.
