Australian Pilots being made redundant due to Operational Cut Backs

Before I begin I am a pilot but not with JQ, My best mate who was a first officer with JQ on the companys Airbus A330 fleet was made redundant today due to the airline saving money by employing overseas Singapore/China based pilots paying them about $3.20 AUD less an hour, Allan Joyce calls it moving forward and saving both QF and JQ from quote "Considerable Profit Loses" , so simple excuse contract all ground handling out to Aero Care a bodgy Mcdonalds brand of check-in and baggage handling 18 - 25 year old employees with no Airline backround whatsoever, that are not directly employed by the airline but still have the privlage of wearing JQ uniforms, now offshoring Pilot jobs and cabin crew is irresponsible and costing well trained and hard working Australian pilots jobs. Thanks JQ and QF my dreams of getting into the Heavy Metal Flying are dashed but cost cutting
