When checking my guitar in at Melbourne I had to have my guitar checked in. I asked the lady at the desk if I would be charged for excess. She said no. I have NEVER on ANY flight been charged for carrying my guitar as extra baggage with me on any flight ever. So, simply said I would never have taken my guitar with me in the first place. I had someone with me who would have taken it back. On the way back. They charged me. After dealing with EXTREMELY unreasonable attendants and a cocky of a bloke (the manager) who made no attempt to rectify the situation even with the proof that I entered the country with my guitar at no extra cost. Yet I was charged an extra $220. I tried to get in contact with Jetstar complaint service and they were 100% useless. The replys I got seemed automated. I still hold the receipt as a great reminder of why I will NEVER fly with Jetstar and tell everyone to avoid them at all costs. I will make sure that that $220 will be the most expensive mistake they made with me.
