excess baggage....

I was flying from singapore to manila. My handbag and my overhead luggage is just merely 9kg. The counter staff ask me to pay 60 dollars and start bargaining with me for 50 dollars is ok. Anyway I told them I can trow my luggage away and just have to tuck it in all those clothes in my small bag. Finally I have decided to trow my luggage. As im very hungry bcoz I decided to fly after work the counter staff ask me where im going I told them I want to have a quick french fries at mcdonald. RIDICULOUS SHE WANTS TO IMPOUND MY BOARDING PASS BCOZ SHE THINKS I GONNA TAKE BACK MY TROWN LUGGAGE. WELL...THIS IS MORE RIDICOLOUS!!!!! SHE ESCORTED ME UNTIL I CHECK IN SO THAT I CANT TAKE BACK MY LUGGAGE. JETSTAR... ALL MY FRIENDS AND ALL OF MY COLLEAGUES HAVE SWEAR WILL NEVER FLY WITH JETSTAR.....WELL THIS IS EXTRA RIDICOLOUS GUYS!!!! I HAVE ASK PERMISSION TO CHANGE SEAT AND WAS TOLD "SURE"...WHILE I WAS SITTING FOR 5 MINUTES THE CREW CAME TO ASK 20 DOLLARS FOR CHANGING SEATS!!!! HA HA HA HA PATHETHIC AND CHEAP!!!! I SWEAR THIS IS CHEAPO LAH

Me too, I just had experienced like yours. My baggage is overweight and I try to ask someone's help Cz they didn't bring anything into the cabin but the crew hadn't permitted me to do that, my boarding pass still be kept by them. And after we had some discussed and argued they asked me to pay 360000vnd, finally I got on board. The staffs aren't friendly neither in boarding pass counter nor on board. The plane was very dirty, it might they didn't clean up the airplane. I found some saliva in plastic bag, tissue, and also the toilet was so dirty. I will never take this airplane again for my next trip. This is my first time using jetstar but they gave bad impression for me.

First time booking a flight

First time booking a flight with Jetstar, and before I have even boarded the flight, I can assure you that I will never ever book another flight with them.

On the booking site, after choosing my flight, I was to provide my contact info, FIRST name & LAST name. Thats all. So after booking the flight, making payment, and waiting for 30 minutes for my confirmation email, I thought I had entered a wrong email address so I made a call to them. To my dismay, the staff actually told me the confirmation email will only be sent after 24 hours (mind you, my flight is in less than 36 hours). How much does it actually cost to send out an email right after a booking?

What is even more shocking is that they demanded me to pay extra money to change the name on my booking. Apparently my first & last name is not enough now. I had to enter my full name, but I was only given TWO boxes to enter my FIRST & LAST name. So how do I even book a ticket without entering my name wrongly and having to pay the absurd additional fee. Anyway, I told the staff what my name is and how it is written, and the staff was adamant that I at fault. I had to tell her that my name is printed like that in my passport before she agreed to change the booking details, though I still got an earful from her. Mind you Jetstar, I am still a paying customer no matter you are a low-cost carrier/ full-service carrier. Shame on you.

TLDR: Jetstar tries to find any and every reason to charge you an additional fee. No difference from a shady tour operator which exists just to cheat you of your money.
