Flight cancelled (again) and still be sold on the website!!!!

Just checked in online for tomorrow’s flights, no problem. I then get an email from Jetstar confirming my check in. At the same time as receiving the email I also get a text message from Jetstar saying the flight has been cancelled and to call a certain number. Hang on a minute, I’ve just checked in and now my flight is cancelled, what’s happening. I rang the client ‘helpline’ and spoke to someone who can’t really understand English. She confirms that the flight has been cancelled and she will put me onto another flight due to operational reasons, which she then explains means they are short of staff. Great, another poor excuse by Jetstar! I log onto the internet whilst on the phone to her to see what options I have. I noticed that my flight is still available and I’m able to still but tickets for this. She explains that it hasn’t been taken off the website yet and if anyone did book the fligt they would also receive a text meesage saying it had been cancelled, you have got to be kidding me, how hard can it be to take a cancelled flight down?! I then realise it’s probably due to jetstar’s no refund policy and they just want to tie you down into booking a flight, unbelievable!

Obviously I have no choice but to accept an earlier flight which I was told would be 9:15am, but because I have been on hold for 20mins whilst the lady on the ‘helpline’ investigated why the flights were still being sold, the 9:15am flight has now been sold because of all of the people being re-arranged. I know have the option of a 7:00am flight or a 8:15pm flight. I chose the 7:00am flight as I have to be in Melbourne by 6pm, which my 3:00pm flight would have allowed me to do.

So now I have just spent over 30mins on the phone to Jetstar, I am now going to have to get up at 5am in order to catch the flight, got an apology from someone who’s fault it wasn’t and yet again no compensation. I know it is a budget airline and some aspects have been removed, but come on this can’t be acceptable for so many reasons!!!

I will never ever use this company again and will advise everyone I know to do the same. This is the 2nd flight in a row that Jetstar has cancelled and there is never anyone to hold responsible. I’ve flown budget airlines in 3rd world countries with more reliable services, absolutely shocking!!!!!
