Get to work on Monday - no concern of Jetstar's!

On Sunday 19 September, I had a flight from Auckland to Wellington at 8:30pm.
It was the last flight for that day with Jetstar from Auckland.
The flight on Sunday night was cancelled, and the alternative flight suggested was 1pm on Monday afternoon. This was a Sunday night and I had to be at work on Monday morning.

I was offered a refund, or Jetstar voucher, but there was simply no flight, which was my main priority, and I was left stranded. This was devastating and inconvenient, as I felt I had no choice but to purchase a one way ticket with Air NZ, which cost NZ$336. Unbelievable.

Something in aviation you

Something in aviation you can't control - that is weather. I know the flight TO Wellington on Saturday night was cancelled due to the storm over the country. We were sitting waiting for the aircraft to land, it had to go around, then they couldn't get the bags out due to the high winds. That meant they couldn't load the next lot. 2 hours after supposed departure the flight was cancelled to Wellington. There was nothing anyone could do, and this is what impacts flights the next day. Staff did the best they could, but Mother Nature is a nasty piece of work.
