Jetstar cancelled one flight leg extremey unhappy with service

I booked a return flight from Sydney to Perth months ago, leaving Sydney on Thursday night 12th May returning from Perth at 11.55pm on the 15th May 2011. The flight was confirmed, I paid and Jetstar TOOK my money.
NOW MONTHS later Jetstar cancel the return leg to Sydney from Perth at 11.55pm and put me on a flight at 10.55am in the morning on Sunday the 15th May. I have tried to speak to Jetstar staff, who are in Manila or the Philippines who have been extremely unhelpful, I therefore have been forced to cancel this whole trip for I need to be in Perth all day on the 15th and can only return at 11.55pm on that day.
Jetstar, Manila staff say I can have a refund but it will take 15 working days, this again is extremely unsatisfactory, as I now need to book with a reliable airline that can give me service.

PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE IN AUSTRALIA CONTACT ME ASAP.

I have now been on the phone close to 30 mins awaiting a supervisor but still no one prepared to speak to me, this is extremely BAD service.

Disgusting, next time choose

Disgusting, next time choose virgin blue or maybe tiger, Qantas is just as bad as shitstar.

Margaret, this is not a

Margaret, this is not a website operated by Jetstar! Don't put your phone number and full name on here asking them to call you back. Not smart.
And yes, Jetstar are an appalling airline.

Margaret, firstly Manila is

Margaret, firstly Manila is in the Philippines (not Manila or the Philippines). Secondly, changing schedule are a part of the airline industry. If you book tickets many months in advance, there is always the chance the schedule might change. Have a look at section 9 of the conditions of carriage that you accepted before they "took" your money. It states that the flight time does not form part of the contract for carriage, and that they do not guarantee your schedule will not chance.

There is nothing more speaking to a supervisor would have done. They can only refund you or offer you the next day flight. 15 working days for a refund is not that bad. I've waited longer with other big companies, including airlines.

Anony mouse...... if it only

Anony mouse...... if it only took 15 working days for a refund most people would be happy with that. Problem is Jetstar take a hell of a lot longer than that (if you ever get your refund). The call centre are the worst in the world. They say what ever makes you happy (regardless if it's true or not) and then don't actually do anything. And that's when they don't hang up on you if they don't know what to say.
By the way, they do not guarantee your schedule will not CHANGE...... not chance.

I booked & paid for a flight

I booked & paid for a flight online 2 weeks before flight - paid directly into Jetstar account. 4 days later I rang their bookings line as I had not received cofirmation & was told it takes at least 5 days! I was a bit sus so asked for a booking number. The next day I had not got any confirmation & could not access the booking (error message). I rang again & was told they were having computer problems & they couldn't find the payment. I rang again the next day & was told to prove I had paid so I gave a receipt no & faxed a bank statement (which clearly showed payment to Jetstar, flight no. & date!!) I rang the next day & was told they couldn't find the payment & also that it had been refunded into my account....the account number that it was paid into was not mine!!! I informed them I did not want a refund as I wanted to see my children for easter - why would they refund money they said they had not received?? I was asked to provide another bank statement as proof that the refund had not gone into my account, which I did. The day of the flight (was a red eye leaving 2am), I spent the whole day at the airport, where no one would help me & was directed to the same phone booking service, which I rang 4 times and was left on hold for hours......by the end of the day, the supervisor had the Federal Police ask me to leave (I had been patient, not raised my voice or been abusive, though I was very distressed). I did not get on my flight even though I had proved that I had paid & no refund had been received.... there were still plenty of seats!!! What is the problem. I rang again today after crying all night and still no one can tell me anything. How long until I find out & what do I do now....continue to ring every day??? Make a nuisance out of myself until I get arrested for asking what happened to my booking & my money.....THIEVES I SAY!! I must mention I am in a remote area of NT & it has not been easy to get to a phone box each time I had to ring (waiting on a mobile was not an option) & has coast me a heap in fuel to do so., not to mention the time & stress! I am unemployed at present & saved for ages to pay for this flight so I could see my twin teenage daughters, who are at risk in Sydney. I also had some job interviews lined up...so this is no social visit or holiday but a serious matter.....I still don't know anything. I lodged a complaint online, but states that it takes a min of 15 working days to reply. Is there an Ombudsman for airlines?? Do I have any legal rights here??? Is there a case for class suit here with any of you...does anyone know?? Shattered!

Anonymous I'm so glad you can spell. Very pleased for you. Maybe you've not tried typing fast on a touch screen phone. Normally I wouldn't have to if the loserish website moderator/developer didn't block my home ip address.
