Long Cue

Arrived at airport on 01-01-2011 at 5.50am, 50 minutes before flight time, early enough for check we assumed. The recommended time is 1 hour before flight, we arrived 50 minutes before and 30 minutes is mandatory. The cue was 100 metres long and estimated at around 600-800 people waiting. They said they walked up the line asking for people to Townsville, must have been before we arrived. Two of us missed the plane as did 2 separate flyers that we know of. Put this down to inadequate staff and renovation of the Check-in terminal over the Christmas - New Year period. Really excellent time to do reno's. I am now taking this to Small Claims and will let this site know how we go. We Have lots of facts and statements.

Hmm dunn o if its the reno. I saw that terminal in October and the queue imposed right across that back of all the qantas queues. i t think its normal and its disorderly and probably unsafe because of the congestion it brings. one should bring it to the attention of the safety people there could be a beach of some rules there if not at least lack of procedure which in itself would now be a breach. at least the should be forced to employee people to manage the queue safely.

I see you are going to small claims but do us and you a favour write a letter to your local federal member about it as well and also send the same letter to Anthony Albanese the federal minister for transport. we need federal help to get normality and servise back into this business. the customer side of it has no regulation and we are left to be slaughtered bu the likes of these.
