"LOST BAGGAGE"

Last October I flew with Jetstar, for the first and last time ever. The only reason I flew with them was because my trip was a last minute decision and they had the best departure/arrival times I could find. I'm a Virgin member and usually fly with them exclusively, and naturally had my Velocity luggage tag attatched to my suitcase. I arrive in Bangkok, go to the baggage carousel, wait for 20 mins and watch the conveyor go around and around, minus my suitcase. After going to the lost baggage counter, the staff tell me that my bag is either in Singapore or, of all places, Melbourne, even though the flight was from Perth to Bangkok via Changi. Two days later, I get my bag back, with my Velocity luggage tag missing. Coincedence? I don't think so. It's a wonder this airline is still flying...

Hi Shane Had my experience

Hi Shane
Had my experience this morning. Flew in from Bali Depensar via to Singapore on flight JQ116, transitted for 1 hour and 40 minutes in Singapore. Flew from Singapore to NZ on flight JQ216, waited for my x1 piece of luggage. Nothing came through on the luggage carousel, filled in a claim at the Baggage claims desk and was told by a very young lady that someone will contact me regularly throughout the day. Well, ... NOT!!!!! I spent all day going online to search for numbers to contact. What a hassel!!! My current status on the bag is that it was travelling with me from Bali Depensar to Singapore and then from Singapore it seemed to have got misplaced. Each time I ask if Singapore baggage claims have been contacted, no one can provide me with details. Have tried to ring Singapore baggage claims, but numbers are non existent as they dial off. Am sooooo upset, as I need some important documents that are in the bag for my ill mother to fill in. Such a sad way to end a family wedding in Bali. If I had read the reviews prior to using Jetstar, I would have definitely not used Jetstar. Come on, Jetstar, do something about your service!!!
