Lost Baggage...Again. 2 times out of 3 trips. What a winning record

I fly to Darwin for work. I used to fly the direct SGN - DRW flight but that was canned earlier this yr, So I have to fly SGN - SIN - DRW.
Out of the 3 trips I've made for work (offshore drilling rig) Jetstar have managed to loose my single piece of checkin luggage 2 times.
First time the bag turned up the next day, The most recent 25th/June/2012 even Jetstar don't know where my bag is.
I flew from SGN - SIN. I had checked in at the counter marked transfer to other flights. The Jetstar computers were down so it was all filled out manually. Handwritten boarding pass, My bag was checked through to DRW.
Once in SIN I went to the transfer counter, Got my boarding pass for my SIN - DRW flight.

I arrive in DRW at 0430hr (on time for once!!!) and one of the first through the E-Tag passport control gates, Arrive at the luggage carousel and nothing. No bag. I tell the customs officer my bag is lost, He commented about another lost bag. I told him I already know the drill.
I went to the service desk next to the check in counters, filled out my lost baggage form after arriving in DRW (25th), Went to the airport early this morning, Only to be told my bag is not here.
I was shown the room with lost baggage and sure enough my rig bag was not there, I did notice a lot of suitcases and other peoples luggage. The lady I spoke with sent a email to jetstar baggage and Cc'd me on it.
This afternoon I got a phone call from a lady overseas asking if I had got my bag yet. She was following up on it. I told her no I havn't. She doesn't know where my luggage is. Bit of confusion there.
My experience with the groundstaff regarding my lost bag was actually pleasant. They were sympathetic to my loss. No rude staff at all. (Even at 5am)

Due to my lost bag my company has had to extend my hotel room booking another night, rebook the flights for the guy I was supposed to be changing out with, I've had to go and buy clothes, toiletries and workboots as I will be going to the rig without my work gear. $350 I've had to pay for new clothes including $75 in taxi fares. My charter flight to Truscott has had to be rebooked for the following day (26th)

I have to go to work without my work gear, clothes, work related manuals etc. Organize my bag to be sent to the charter flight company, transfer it to a helicopter to get out to the rig. Hopefully it will be with me in the next couple days.

I’m sorry to hear of the difficulties you’ve had with your checked baggage.

I have spoken with the Jetstar Baggage Services team personally who have confirmed they are currently tracing your baggage. At the moment they are awaiting correspondence from the different airports your baggage was processed through on your travels to Darwin. Once they receive this confirmation they will again be in contact with you with an update.

I’m really sorry that this has caused you inconvenience and extra costs. If you could contact us directly and provide your receipts of these expenses I would be more than happy to look into this further for you. The team have just told me that they have been unsuccessful with the contact number you have provided on your Baggage form, it would be great if you could also provide updated contact details so we can call you.

Rung the baggage services

Rung the baggage services number earlier this evening, After 12min's of waiting I spoke to a gentleman. He told me that my bag has been lost for 7days now, So its off the priority list, My loss is getting shifted to another department so I can make a claim for compensation.
I did find out that my bag was packed into a cargo container #33 and flown to Singapore on the same flight as me. From Singapore it cannot be found. I asked him why can it not be found since you know where it is. He just kept telling me its been 7days now, You will get contacted tomorrow evening (2-July) and will proceed from there.

I explained to him, How can I put a $ amount of my work equipment, my work manuals, tools, coveralls etc.
Sure some clothing items have a $ amount but the inconvenience caused by this should I have to put a $ amount will amount in the thousands of dollars, Which I'm sure Jetstar will not pay. Should my bag be lost will I get refunded my baggage allowance I had paid?

As for my receipts claim I will need to get contacted by another department.
This has dragged out for too long. I hope there is a resolution in the next few days.

I have travelled with jetstar

I have travelled with jetstar long times before and have encountered so many unhappiness incidents with them, so decided not to travel with jetstar. But after not travel with jetstar for a long time, I was thinking maybe should give them a chance by flying out with jetstar again. But unfortunately, after today 22.50 out direct flight from singapore to bangkok, out of 3 pieces baggages that checked in together, jetstar still can lost one baggage which contain all my daily change clothing and a few new brought clothing and a new kitchen ware (cooking wok). And for the whole day, they still cannot trace where is my baggage in singapore.

Very disappointing with jetstar. No more travelling with jetstar.
I don't think I can claim my losses with Jetstar since they will say I brought the ticket the most budgeting price w/o baggage insurance. Furthermore, with no purchase receipts, how can i make claim? is not really everyone will keep their receipts after the purchase something new to make claim for baggage lost. If there is a choice, I rather not to lose any baggage (becos' some personal items have sentiment value that use money to refund back) than the troubles of losing baggage by airline and the hassles to make claim which set so much rules and regulation by the airline when claiming back the lost.
