I vowed several years ago never to fly this lot again however to attend a funeral in Canberra today i purchased two business class tickets on the international flight from Osaka to Sydney that stops into Cairns on its way. So travelling Cairns to Sydney

We got up at 3:45 this morning to travel to Cairns and arrived at 5:20 at the checkin counter where the signs all said

JETSTAR Flight JQ16 is Cancelled -

What ???

I checked my mobile, surely as this flight departed ( or should have ) departed 7 hours ago at a minimum I would have been notified, definitely NOT !!

They passed me to a manager who first said, "when it was cancelled I wasn't on duty" but then said they could get me onto a Qantas flight to Sydney at 6:15. But there was no urgency in their actions considering it was departing 45v minutes later and she explained her system wouldn't book it for some reason, she phoned Qantas and Jetstar in the domestic airport and we were told we had ten minutes to get there to check in, go to gate 15.

Racing to walk to 600 metres 5 minutes later we arrived.

Finally we were served and after being stuffed around significantly by this dumb arse woman who poses as a consultant, asking stupid questions and showing NO URGENCY to get us on board she comes to us and say's ... sorry the flight is now closed.

The truth of the matter is she stuffed around long enough so as we couldn't make the flight.

I went mad, and unleashed a tirade for which the manager said unless I apologise to this lazy half asleep dozy woman they wouldn't give me a seat. I refused and gave her another verbal.

We walked outside only to be met by the police !

Not only have we missed the flight, missed a second then 3rd flight, I missed the funeral of my beautiful friend and ended up with a police fine for abusing the dumb arse at the airport.

Its the attitude thats infuriating, this should have been easy but not this lot, no SMS notification.. i suppose when your copping it left right and centre all day every day excusing for the stuff ups of management you will have that " give gives a f***k attitude.

At this stage I am still trying to understand why JETSTAR didn't provide the courtesy of a mobile notification to say, your flight has been cancelled and now trying to get the refund.
