More expensive than business class. Be wary of "add on value".

What a sad ripoff. For the money I've spent on Jetstar this year I could have had my feet up in business class on a real airline. Instead I've suffered the usual delays, discomfort and cancelled flights.

What's worse is that I'm not even sure why this travel has cost me so much. The call centre is hardly a forum to ask simple questions to get an easy answers. That would be nice, but remains a pie in the sky daydream when it comes to Jetstar. Everytime I have to speak to them I end up in tears of frustration... and I am not an emotional person. It is like going around in rings and rings and rings. Those poor untrained staff don't have a clue, and that's horrible for everyone.

Last time I tried to change a flight it wasn't actioned. Because I never recieved a change of itinerary I (reluctantly) called again. If I thought the first call was long winded and difficult I was ready to be educated on just how challenging speaking to a jetstar call centre can be. I just wanted to know whether or not the change of flight had been actioned. The call took an hour.

For this most recent flight, however, I wasn't as worried when I needed to make a change. I had bought the "super extra value idiot scamming add on con" where my flights were (ALLEDGEDLY) flexible. I knew I might need to change the dates of this trip, so the flexible add on seemed like awesome value right? Value? HAHA No. You're talking about Jetstar.

Anyway, naive little ol' me felt a smug sense of relief when the flights had to change. It won't cost much, I thought, I have the "value" bundle! Great! I jumped on to the website a couple of days before my flights and selected the dates I wanted to change to. Computer error. Ok, I'll try again tomorrow. Computer error. Oh no... oh no... I have to call that dredded 131 538 number again! I don't have time today! Where will I find a spare 3 hours to make sense of some poor minimum wage call centre worker with no training and only a basic script to work from. Eventually, to remain within the 24 hour period allowed, we had to call because the website was still not working for us. Not that I have any idea why, you can speak to as many people as you want to on that number you'll still be banging your head against a wall if you expect any success with communication, but it cost $400 to change flights?? What!? That has to be an error. That is as much as it would cost us to fly had we not already had a booking. How on earth is that a flexible fare?

How completely dishonest, disgraceful and greedy. I feel utterly swindled.

I've been trying to say this

I've been trying to say this all along. Jetscare deceives people in to thinking they are cheaper but it's all a complete utter scam!!!!! Don't fall in to the trap consider all add ons. You'll find in most cases it's worth flying QF or DJ
