plane cancelled due to operator problems?

my husband myself and three of his family from scotland ,flew to hobart from melbourne . no problems
return flight from launceston to melbourne ,big problem
.rec text message from jetstar 1 hour before 9.30am flight cancelled , only flight available was 11pm flight.more than 12 hours away. room check out was 10am. after calling them ,was able to get flight from hobart at 2pm ,then had to hire car for day(min booking), got back to melbourne .called jetstar
offered $50 voucher for the 5 of us to be used in 3 months . no good to us as husbands family are back in scotland now. staff could not have cared less ,have never ever felt so let down . will not be using them ever again..

Don't pay direct deposit.

Even though I provided proof that I had paid direct deposit 19 days prior to departure date Jetstar Sydney refused to acknowledge receipt as Finance Dept in Malaysia would not return their urgent email requests to confirm payment. In the end I could not fly and so requested a refund ... do you think I will ever see my money again? Jetstar totally ruined my holiday away. This airline is at the bottom of my list! Be warned!
