refund run around

I paid for a flight in December via direct deposit and the reservation number was incorrectly entered. After numerous phone calls and multiple faxes detailing my bank account details they told me my payment would be reassigned to the correct reservation number and used to pay for the flights. On the 11/1/11 i received the money back in my bank account (the flights were never paid for), except instead of receiving $315, only $118 was returned. They say the full amount was returned (it wasn't) and that they haven't received my latest fax and I have now been given a different fax number which doesn't work. Not happy!

Well , aren't you feeling

Well , aren't you feeling STUPID for not putting the correct reservation number. Idiots and computers , what can ya say :)

Anonymous (commentor) has

Anonymous (commentor) has obviously never made a mistake in his/her life.

Well, it's the passenger's

Well, it's the passenger's responsibility to make sure that the payment is made to the correct booking.

Look at it this way - if you bank in a sum of money to a random bank account, do you think that the owner of said random bank account would return th money back to you?

There are always procedures to follow. Especially if the passenger is the one who made the mistake. Anonymous -you're not the only customer Jetstar has.

@ Phil, Yes, Anonymous has

@ Phil,

Yes, Anonymous has made a mistake. He took the job with jetstar, not with McDonalds.
Although I'd say he's underqualified for one of those jobs...

Totally agree with Anonymous

Totally agree with Anonymous (commentor), how dumb stupid jerk the passenger can be by keying in a wrong reservation number, i reckon the reservation number is as simple as ABC...how could he get it wrong ???? Understand that human made mistakes, but silly mistakes are totally unacceptable and does not making any sense.

Hi Anti -Aussies, you

Hi Anti -Aussies, you wouldn't be from Kuala Lumpur by any chance? You are the one who "does not making any sense", maybe this is why you are out of a job...

Why do you blame Jetstar when

Why do you blame Jetstar when your the wanker who made a mistake. You people are so hopeless you need Jetstar to wipe your ass and then blame them for your error.

Mmmm, it's really pretty

Mmmm, it's really pretty obvious that you guys all work for jetstar, and are being told to do this.
I don't know what happens in your country, but here we have a standard called "customer service", and this means the company has a moral as well as a legal obligation to serve customers IF THEY HAVE TAKEN YOUR MONEY, all $315 of it.
Entering a wrong reservation is a simple mistake, that Einstein could make, it is not a "silly" mistake.
And tracing the payment is a really simple thing to do.
But Jetstar chooses not to, because they are immoral fraudsters who want to steal money.
