Greetings
This was my first Jetstar experience a indeed my last, usually fly Virgin, I am separated with a beautiful 5 year old daughter, my ex and I are on good terms. My story goes.... I had saved up some overtime and planned a trip to Melbourne(I'm from Sydney) so my daughter can meet her cousins and family, so I had booked well in advance, just a few days before I was to leave to Melbourne my daughters cardiologist was concerned my daughters heartbeat was too irregular you see Elizabeth was born with several heart defects(TGA, VSD and Pulmonary Atresia) and to correct this she has gone through 3 major heart operations. My cardiologist organized a emergency Dual Chamber Epicardial Permanent Pacemaker for my daughter at the Sydney Children's Hospital so I cancelled my Jetstar flight and took a further week off work to help care for my daughter. So I placed a request for a refund with all the signed doctors letter etc. I didn't receive a cash refund, but instead a refunded Jetstar 6 month valid voucher which I can't use for I can't go to Melbourne any time soon... I did find it insulting that they would think I should fly to Melbourne within 6 months when clearly I can't.
I am now out of pocket $400 and now wouldn't even fly Jetstar even if the tickets were $1
