Update on Bali flights scheduled for Wednesday, 4 November 2015

(Published 12.00pm AEDT, 04-11-2013)

After assessing the latest information from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC) our team of experts has decided to cancel all flights today to and from Denpasar Airport, Bali.

Unfortunately the latest forecast has not improved so we have cancelled these flights as early as possible.

We will make an assessment on Thursday flights (5 November) later this evening and provide a further update at 7.00pm (AEDT) today.

While we regret the frustration these cancellations will cause, the safety of our customers and crew is always our first priority.

We’ll continue to monitor the movement of the ash cloud from Mt Rinjani in Lombok, Indonesia with the latest information from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC) and will resume flying as soon as it is safe to do so.

Once we have resumed flights, we will look to schedule additional services to enable customers to travel to or from Bali.
