Bali - Volcanic Ash Cloud Disruptions
Last Updated: 05/11/2015 07:07 PM
Update on Bali flights scheduled for Thursday, 5 and Friday, 6 November 2015
(Published 7.00pm AEDT, 05-11-2015)
Following the latest update from the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC), our team of experts has concluded that flying conditions around Bali remain unsafe due to the volcanic ash cloud from Mount Rinjani.
As a result we have cancelled all our flights between Australia and Bali on Friday (tomorrow).
We will make an assessment on Saturday’s flights and provide a further update on Friday.
While we regret the frustration these cancellations will cause, the safety of our customers and crew is always our first priority.
We’ll continue to monitor the movement of the volcanic ash cloud from Mount Rinjani in Lombok, Indonesia and will resume flying as soon we deem it safe to do so.
Once we have resumed flights, we will look to schedule additional services to enable customers to travel to or from Bali.
The latest flight details can be found on the flight status page on Jetstar.com.
