Customs industrial action suspended

UPDATE:
Protected industrial action planned by Customs staff has been suspended following an interim order by the Fair Work Commission.
You no longer need to plan for additional delays through Customs before your international flights departing Australia.
PREVIOUS ADVICE FOR REFERENCE:
Employees from the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) had planned to take industrial action between 29 March and 11 April (originally planned for 22-31 March).
This meant customers may have experienced some delays when departing from international airports across Australia.
DIBP put contingency measures in place to limit disruption to normal operations. However, we recommended you arrive at the airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight time and proceed straight to Customs after checking in.
For more information on the previously planned industrial strike action visit the DIBP website.
