Extension of Cancellations
Last Updated: 13/05/2020 02:19 AM
With passenger demand still at very low levels as a result of travel restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19, Jetstar will be carrying out domestic and Trans-Tasman flight cancellations beyond the end-May through to the end of June 2020. International flight cancellations will be extended through to the end of July 2020.
We are in the process of reviewing these flights and we’ll start to notify impacted customers directly within the next week. Given the high volume of cancellations this may take some time, and we ask for your patience as we work through the process. We will contact you as soon as we are able to.

Greater flexibility when using credit vouchers
From mid-June 2020 all new and existing unused Jetstar vouchers issued as a result of the COVID-19 impact on travel can be used to make multiple flight bookings to any destination across the Jetstar network. Previously, the voucher could only be used on one booking. The voucher holder must either be the contact person in or a traveller on the new booking.
Jetstar has also extended the validity of vouchers issued from 1 March from 6 to 12 months to book and then up to 1 year to travel thereafter.
As per the existing arrangements, Jetstar customers will need to pay any fare difference if the new bookings cost more than the value of their travel voucher.
If you booked through a travel agent or third party websites (e.g. Flight Centre) you will need to contact them directly.
Domestic services supported by the Federal Government
We're still flying a small number of domestic services for essential travel and to help transport freight, including medical supplies as part of the Australian Government’s minimum domestic network.
Customers can book at jetstar.com and are reminded that various quarantine restrictions apply across states and territories.
COVIDSafe app
We encourage all Australians to download and activate the COVIDSafe app.
The app helps state and territory officials to quickly contact people who may have been exposed to the virus. It’s easy, it’s secure and ultimately, it will mean less restrictions, which will let us all travel again sooner.
The COVIDSafe app also gives you extra reassurance if you are travelling. For more information and to download the app head here.
