Information regarding the Novel Coronavirus and Flight to Japan (Last Updated 2 March, 2020)

In response to the expansion of the novel coronavirus, the company has released the following information:
1. Regarding Flight Suspension
Below are the routes suspended due to the flight suspension and demand declines impacted by the evolving COVID-19 situation.
<NRT = PVG route> (updated on 2 March 2020)
Flight suspended period: 2020 5 February to 1 June
GK35 (NRT – PVG): 2020 5 February ~ 31 May
GK36 (PVG – NRT): 2020 6 February ~ 1 June
<NRT = HKG route> (updated on 2 March 2020)
Flight suspended period: 2020 23 February to 1 June
GK23 (NRT – HKG): 2020 23 February ~ 31 May
GK20 (HKG – NRT): 2020 24 February ~ 1 June
<NRT = TPE route> (updated on 2 March 2020)
Flight suspended period: 2020 2 March to 1 June
GK11 (NRT – TPE): 2020 2 March to 31 May
GK12 (TPE – NRT): 2020 3 March to 1 June
<KIX = HKG route> (announced on 18 February 2020)
Flight suspended period: 2020 20 and 21 February
GK63 (KIX – HKG): 2020 20 and 21 February
GK64 (HKG – KIX): 2020 20 and 21 February
*For flights between 22 February to 27 March are suspended (announced on 17 December 2019)
Above international routes are in adjustment given the most recent development.
Flight schedule change will be notified through our web site or to your registered email.
All customers impacted by this change will be contacted and will be able to;
A. Cancel their bookings and obtain a full refund or credit voucher (no fee charged)

As for the suspended flights for KIX=HKG, NRT transit flight will be available.
As for the suspended flights for NRT=TPE, KIX transit flight shall be available (KIX=TPE will be operated by Jetstar Asia).

2.Cleanliness of a cabin
Cabin air is always taken from outside the aircraft, circulated within the cabin and changed every two to three minutes. In addition, all Jetstar Japan A320 aircraft are installed with hospital-grade High Efficiency-Particulate Arrestors (HEPA) filters which remove microscopic particles like bacteria and virus clusters in the air.
3. Cabin Crew to Wear Face Masks and Gloves
As a precautionary measure, cabin crew may wear face masks and gloves on international and domestic flights.
4. Airport Ground Staff to Wear Face Masks
For our customers comfortableness, our airport ground staff may wear face masks during operating hours.
5. Strengthening Quarantine Measures
International airports have progressively announced that quarantine measures will be strengthened and may mandate health checks for passengers.

6. Restriction on Entry to Japan
By directives enforced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, entry to Japan will not be permitted for passengers below effective 2020 February 27 until further notice.
Passport holders issued by Hubei Province or Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China.
Any non-Japanese passport holders visited Hubei Province or Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China in the past 14 days at the time of arrival in Japan.
Any non-Japanese passport holders who boarded on the MS Westerdam and disembarked at Sihanoukville city, Cambodia.
Any non-Japanese passport holders visited Daegu Metropolitan City or Cheongdo county in North Gyeongsang Province, Republic of Korea in the past 14 days at the time of arrival in Japan.

7. Restrictions on entry conditions to countries other than Japan
Owing to the enhancement of quarantine measurements in response to the expansion of the novel coronavirus, many countries have reinforced existing or introduced new measures or restrictions.
Customers are advised to check the relevant information from embassies, consulates and health organizations of the destination country.
On selected routes, web check-in and use of KIOSK check-in machines at airport may be suspended.
8. Restrictions of carrying Disinfectant products in checked and carry-on baggage
Disinfectant products below are prohibited in checked and carry-on baggage as
dangerous goods.
Products
Cleverin (Stand-alone Type and Stick Pen Type), TAIKO Pharmaceutical product
Gel Type which is for hands or skin is not prohibited in checked and carry-on baggage
There are no restrictions in place for other types of disinfectant at present, but this may change going forward.
