Potential Customs delays 21, 22 and 23 September

Last Updated: 19/09/2015 10:41 AM

Please be advised that there may be small delays at international airports across Australia on 21, 22 and 23 September due to industrial action being taken by Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection employees.

While the Department of Immigration and Border Protection has advised that it has put in place contingency measures to avoid disruption to normal operations, we encourage customers to ensure they allow enough time for processing at the airport before their flight. There may also be some delays through Customs for passengers arriving on flights on these days.

Customers travelling internationally on 21, 22 or 23 September are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight is scheduled to depart and proceed straight to Customs after check-in.

For more information on the industrial strike action visit the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection website: http://www.border.gov.au/News/Pages/travellers-clients.aspx
