Potential Customs delays at Cairns, Perth and Darwin
Last Updated: 15/09/2015 04:42 PM
Please be advised that there may be small delays at some international airports across Australia this week due to industrial action being taken by Department of Immigration and Border Protection employees.
Industrial Action Impacting Customs
International Airports: Cairns, Perth and Darwin
Dates: Wednesday 16, Thursday 17 and Friday 18 September 2015
While the Department has advised that it has put in place contingency measures to avoid disruption to normal operations, we encourage customers to ensure they allow enough time for processing at the airport before their flight. There may also be some delays through Customs for passengers arriving on flights that day.
Customers travelling internationally from Cairns, Perth or Darwin on 16, 17 or 18 September are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before their flight is scheduled to depart and proceed straight to Customs after check-in.
