Recent Immigration changes

Jetstar has been advised of
changes to the immigration regulations for a number of countries around the
globe as a result of the coronavirus. 


Many countries including Australia (more details
below)
,  
New
Zealand
,  the US, Japan, Vietnam and Singapore have implemented entry requirements for travellers who have
visited or reside in Hubei province and/or mainland China. Please note that the travel restrictions are changing rapidly and this page does not contain all the restrictions in force. If the restrictions apply to your travel you may not be permitted to board your flight.



Please refer to the

will be travelling through including your final destination.

Australian
immigration restrictions

The Australian
Government has announced immediate immigration measures which restrict entry to
travellers who have been in mainland China on or after 1 February 2020. Those
who have been in or transited through mainland China since 1 February 2020 will
not be permitted to board flights to Australia.



 Those who departed mainland China before 1 February are not affected. Australian
citizens or permanent residents (and their immediate family) are exempt.

Flights to, from and via mainland China

January, 2020)

In response to the current
coronavirus infection originating in Wuhan, China,
  Jetstar is offering flexible options to
customers travelling to/originating from or via mainland China on another
carrier who hold a separate Jetstar booking for travel within domestic
Australia, New Zealand or trans-Tasman.

Although Jetstar Airways does
not fly directly to China from Australia or New Zealand customers with Jetstar
bookings as part of an itinerary outlined above, departing between 24 January
2020 and 31 March 2020, who no longer wish to travel, currently have the option
to rebook the Jetstar portion of their flight, cancel their ticket and retain
its value in the form of a voucher or cancel their flights for a full refund.
 

Change and cancellation fees
will not be charged to these customers.

Jetstar Asia (3K) and Jetstar
Japan (GK) customers with bookings to/from or via mainland China within these
travel dates also have the option to cancel and refund their bookings in full
or to change their bookings to depart after 31 March 2020.
