FOR TRAVELLERS TO OSAKA BETWEEN 27 – 30 JUNE
Last Updated: 19/06/2019 06:23 AM
In view of the G20 Summit in Osaka, from
Thursday, 27 June through Sunday 30 June 2019, there will be increased airport
security at Kansai International Airport. Police officers will be stationed at
the entrances to the passenger terminals so please have your air ticket or
e-booking with you at all times. Visitors without flight tickets will be
subject to searches of bags and other personal belongings.
The Osaka Prefectural Police also advise visitors
to travel by train to and from the airport as there will be large-scale traffic
restrictions for the expressway (including bridges to and from the airport) and
the roads on the airport island.
Shuttle buses will continue to operate between
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 but the schedule may change due to traffic restrictions.
All Jetstar Asia flights will be operating as
scheduled but please arrive early to the airport as check-in and boarding
procedures may take longer due to increased airport security.
We thank you for your understanding and apologise
for any inconvenience caused.
