On the 21st of jan 2011 my husband and i flew to the gold coast which ended up being the worst possible holiday, thanks to jetstar.
i was 5 and a half weeks pregnant at the time. At take off the plane had all its power ready to fly then all of a sudden BREAKKKKKKK!!! stop everything. sunglasses go flying everywhere all the passengers looks like they saw a ghost then pilot says of the microphone: "we've just had technical difficulties, we are gonna wait for the break pads to cool off and we're gonna have another go" ... ANOTHER GO!!!! seriously??? i went into panic mode! would not stop crying for literally 2 hours. 1 hr waiting for the pads to cool then the whole flight until we landed in gold coast. got to Gold coast and i had a bleeding due to my scare in the plane. was hospitalised in Gold Coast and my whole holiday went down the drain!
does anyone know where do we actually make a formal complaint against jetstar?? not happy about this at all!
Another go at take off... ???

Stefannie, i feel so sorry
Stefannie, i feel so sorry for you, if i was a pilot i would have terminated all control with the engines, and shut the plane down get a tow truck to take the aircraft back to the gate dissemark you all, get the technichans in too look at it, get a replacement plane or cancel the flight and re-book you. I hope your baby is ok, but i will give you advice for your next trip, do not fly this airline or qantas. Fly Virgin Blue, tiger is ok, but not that great. You can to a complaint here: http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/contact-us/feedback-form.aspx
Jack, you are obviously not a
Jack, you are obviously not a pilot. Lucky for us.
LOL!! But id rather have the
LOL!! But id rather have the plane go back to the gate to be looked at.
Lucky you wern't the pilot
Lucky you wern't the pilot Jack else the flight would've been cancelled over, overheated brake pads? Real great idea........ Anyway have you ever actually flown Tiger there aweful. At least Jetstar have a real terminal. You havent seen Tiger until you've sat on the ground due to not enough seating because of delayed flights in their budget terminal(shed).
I think I'll go with an organized airline like Jetstar.
6 and a half weeks ????????,
6 and a half weeks ????????, 6 and a half bloody weeks ?, thats not pregnant, that means you have just missed a period.
you are not confirmed Pregnant until it has a beating heart, and that is only viewable on Ultrasound at 12 weeks.
Good god, I was waiting for "I went in to early labor"..., oh wait, you did. When is the court case about how you lost a baby because the pilot hit the brakes ?
what are you retarded?? the
what are you retarded?? the heart starts beating at 6 weeks. dont place stupid coments like this if your going to be unsentitive to people and you obviously dont know anything what your talking about. get your facts right first then try to be stupid.
i'm glad you are ok. hope it all works out ok from now on...

@Anonymous Gosh, you
@Anonymous
Gosh, you really are retarded, soooo agreeing with Julie...
What the hell were you when you were 6 weeks old in your mom's! guessing you were just a
'missed period trash'.. were you? I guess once a trash always a trash.. God help your children..
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so very
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, so very nasteeeeeeeee. Take a chill pill people. Make love not war. Peace.
Steffanie - Perhaps you would
Steffanie - Perhaps you would have preferred they didn't stop the aircraft and kept going knowing there were technical problems? You people will complain about anything.
Not complaining about them
Not complaining about them stopping. Thank God they did. But im complaining about them not giving us any information. Any reasurance that they know what it is they are fixing it and it will be ok. Or any of the staff checking to see if anyone was ok! That to me is unnaceptable. And i will complain because thats just not on.
Thanks Julie for your imput! :)
Yeah, go Stephannie! Complain
Yeah, go Stephannie! Complain as much as you can. This is totally uncalled for. A complete and utter lack of any concern for customer safety, they cannot get away with such rotton behaviour! 100% behind you!
DONT FLY JETSTAR
so they aborted a take off
so they aborted a take off huh, could be for many reasons. Technical difficulties can mean many things, From a major problem to something as simple as air traffic control calling for the abort. I've had other aircraft infringe on the runway during a takeoff run requiring an aborted take off, sudden massive change in wind (known as windshear) making it unsafe to continue the takeoff and many other minor issues that mean an aborted take off is safer than trying to continue.
yes i agree with you a210
yes i agree with you a210 Driver.
Aborted take offs happen more then you think , the technical name is a rejected takeoff and it has to be reported , so i sure you were safe , but i still think the pilot should tell you what has happen .
