I just tried to book some extra baggage for my flight and the website wanted to charge me a $48 'booking and service fee' for 20kg/$30 worth of luggage... THAT IS LUDICROUS!!! so I rung up the 0800 number and didn't get charged the $48... where is the sense in that?!!!

A Simple Compassion
My work colleague and I were both flying from Melbourne to Sydney, me with Virgin and he with Jetstar. We both had the cheapest fares available and shared a taxi from the city to the airport. The idiot taxi driver got lost (yes got lost on the way to the airport!!) whilst we were chatting in the back and pouring over some work documents. We both missed our flights by approx 5 minutes. I turned up flustered at the Virgin counter and explained what had happened. The magnificent lady behind the counter had a laugh, looked into the screen and put me on the next flight for a $20 fee. My colleague fronted up to the customer service assistant from hell who just shrieked 'you have missed your flight, no refund, buy another fare.'
It's a simple compassion but it says it all
