I made the mistake of booking without the extra baggage so I rang them to correct my mistake but rather than being charged the extra $20 the site has it is an extra $80 for doing after. WHY?
My other complaint is, I need to return home early from Overseas as a family member was extremely ill. China Airlines were most accommodating and changed my flights no charges but I got the times wrong when I wrote them down. It meant a 10 hour wait at Sydney Airport. They would only change my $70 flight for $150 even though there were plenty of spare seats. While the while the staff sat there and watched me sit after a 24 hour flight with 4 hour stopover.
Once there shift was over I thought I would try with the next shift and when I went to the counter the previous shift had told them about me. They were made aware that "he might try something". Geez. I am your customer not your enemy.
Corporate Australia is so messed up. This country has become so greedy. Watch this space.

Well Tim.....those staff are
Well Tim.....those staff are all like clones. They should be working as parking inspectors. They are just as detested! Make no mistake...Jetstar read this site often. So feel free to keep posting and telling them what arrogant pricks they are.
When you book a lite fare,
When you book a lite fare, the website CLEARLY tells you (before allowing you to continue) that a baggage upgrade fee of $40 domestic or $80 international per flight will apply (call centre rates) or double this at the airport. This was your own fault.
Secondly, you admit you made the mistake with writing down flight times. Jetstar is a business, not a charity. There is a compassion policy in place when you send in documentation regarding a family members illness... but showing up at the airport and expecting them to change it is a different thing.
My point - if you expect fees/charges to be waived etc etc fly a full service airline. Jetstar makes no secret that it is a low cost carrier. The way I see it, your complaints are all unwarranted.
Iv'e just booked a domestic
Iv'e just booked a domestic flight sydney /darwin for myself & 2 other family members, paid by visa, only to find a $42 service & booking fee???? after saying NO! to every upgrade & option ,why dont they make it clearer that they are going to slug you this extra charge???? or is it hidden in some fine print somewhere?? we're on a budget like so many of us out there, Whats this new fee for??? thats why we book online? isn't it??
