We were scheduled to fly on the 7:30pm flight from Saigon to Danang on April 28. At about 3pm I received a call advising that the flight had been delayed till 11pm. By this time we were in a taxi travelling back from Vung Tau trying to avoid the rush hour and we were already on the way to the airport. About an hour later we received a text message that the flight was changed to 8pm.. Even better we thought. 4pm rolls along and we're sitting at the airport when we received another text advising that the flight had been delayed till 1:20am!! (yes after midnight)
As we were already at the airport we paid extra and bought tickets on Vietnam airlines.. we cancelled the Jetstar tickets and were advised that a refund would come back to our credit card within about 6 weeks.. that was about 2 months ago.
This is not my only cancelled ticket from Jetstar where they are slow to refund.. I have another one that's even older.. still no refund.. It's obviously some company policy. I am unsure if I will ever get the refunded money.. in the mean time I'm not booking anymore Jetstar tickets.
Who would have thought an Australian airline could be so poorly run?.. or have such poor ethics?
