Per inhumane

May 3rd at gate 49 Sydney airport, party of five. 30min plus earlier for our 1.50pm flight. Gates open to board, daughter mentions that she is feeling sick. Explained that she cannot use the lavatories on plane unit in the air. Therefore instead of being sick in front of all passengers better off go to bathroom only approx 30mtrs from gate. Explaining to the staff attendees as it was time to board 3 of us at the gate. Last call called out. Daughter walking back only mtrs away and staff close the gates with all of us on opposite side of glass door. They just walked away and left us. Waited for there return tried to deal with situation and all was said to go and next flight otherwise they will call for security. Went and explained to manager with just rude and unfriendly reasoning. Jetstar then wanted an additional $1950 for next available flight at 7pm. Said we will need to shop around with other airlines and was then told not to bother returning to book next flight if we shop around. Lucky we did found virgin airlines same price but after explaining what happened they gave use a $250 discount and on the 3pm flight. Thanks Jetstar, you are very rude and have NO care factor what so ever. Next time I will let who ever be sick on the plane or gate area and have the Jetstar staff clean up, seems that is what they prefer.

This should surprise me. But,

This should surprise me. But, sadly, it doesn't.

You need to follow this up

You need to follow this up with emails to all the executives at jetstar stating your case and ask for some sort of compensation not inky as this wasn't a deliberate missed flight but mainly because of the terrible way you were treated by jetstar staff. Keep on it and you will get some resolution.
