Due to Christchurch earthquakes Jetstar advised that they cannot give refunds for persons who were supposed to attend the Rugby World Cup games in Christchurch, but will issue vouchers to spend on other jetstar flights. Person I spoke to initially was very helpful advised that Jetstar 'values their customers' was pleasant, got my six booking references and advised that I would get the voucher emailed to me in 5-7 working days, prima facie thought that there would be no problems. After two weeks I phoned Jetstar asking where the vouchers were and was advised that they had been processed but hadn't been sent through, asked them why that happened but did not give me any explanation but stated that they would 'fast-track' my vouchers and expect it within 5 working days. After this had lapsed (still gave them 3 days grace period before calling) I was advised that some of my booking references that I had provided still hadn't been fast-tracked and that it would take another 5-7 working days to receive the vouchers. Each phone call lasted well over an hour, I was consistently put on hold and advised on my last call that there was no record that I called earlier in relation to some of my booking reference numbers.
Understandably, I am very angry at Jetstar and frustrated that it takes multiple phone calls (and perhaps still more to come) to get a voucher that only allows me to fly with Jetstar as they refuse to give cash refunds. I feel that as a customer I have not been treated as a 'valuable customer' as they espouse. Also, the customer service centre advised that they would always give me a call back and I have not got one to date.
After this ordeal I never want to fly with Jetstar.

Lou, very similar to my own
Lou, very similar to my own ordeal with JS trying to get tickets I had booked for my family. I live in Borneo so had to call Melbourne and the call centre number numerous times over a three week period. jS couldn't find the 700 bucks I transferred to their account even though my bank transferred the money same day. in the end I finally got my tickets .... No explanation as to why it took so long but apologies and a flight voucher that I probably have no use for anyway.
they lost me as a future customer...... A one hundred dollar useless voucher won't change my mind.".. They should have bumped us up to 1st class or cash refund...... But they are not really interested in customer loyalty. Only reason I got that refund was that I quoted to them their CEOs statement on customer service guarantee and said I would be seeing a lawyer.
