Jetstar defaults on fares for Christchurch earthquake victoms

Being the manager of a hotel in queensland, I have offered the police, fire dept, search & rescue, hospital staff free accommodiation at our hotel.

Spoke to Patrick Martin from Jetstar who offered us some cheap "Compassionate Fares" at NZ$90 each way. Now when I have come to book them, Jetstar are defaulting on their promise. Whats more I can not get hold of Patrick Martin either.

Jetstar dont have any numbers except 131-538 and everytime I have rung, I get cut off from my call or you are left on hold (once for 40 mins) waiting to speak to a supervisor who never came to the phone.

I think the CEO, Bruce Buchanan should look at his public relations that his staff are providing to their clients and stand by what they offer

No the new CEO is a guy called David Hall and he was on TV in New Zealand a week or so ago trying to defend Jetstars humiliation of some wheelchair bound people.....David Hall was a proper dick so dont expect to get very far

I think they are all proper dicks, they just dont have any PR skills at all. Can someone tell me why they dont provide phone numbers to contact them about problems. Probably cause they dont want to talk to you

David Hall is the CEO of Jetstar Australia and new Zealand. Bruce Buchanan is CEO of the Jetstar group (Jetstar Australia, Asia, Vietnam).

There is a number to speak to someone about problems. 131538. If the staff there can't solve it they can request the higher department customer relations to call you or you can write in on the website.

This is interesting considering that Jetstar don't actually offer compassionate fares. The compassionate policy which they do offer only applies to existing passengers. That being said, if you contact JQs customer care, they may be able to pull the call recording, although without date/time details this can be difficult.

does any one have david halls contact you cant get through to any one because the receptionist wont let you and you email and they also screen we need the ceo to see this site . complain on face book and they block you. ha ha ha, they dont care about their customers but we will never be customers again your going down jetstar ha ha ha

Ceo's have better things to do than to listen to all your whinging. You will never get past the receptionists. Like I said - issues that can't be resolved with the call centre can be resolved by speaking to/writing to customer relations. Not by calling the CEO.

Have tried the call centre to resolve this matter, but after getting cut off 6 times I have given up. Those 6 calls cost me about 2 hours of my time. I have now sent an email via the website, so we will wait for a response. It will be rather embarrsing to tell these wonderful people who soent so many of their hours, risking their lives to save others after the earthquake, that I can not get them the fares offered and that the price has gone up --- to what, no one will advise.

Take the money and hide Jetstar, you dont care about PR to your paying customers who keep the staff employed at Jetstar
