Jetstar Lounge Gold Coast

I arrived the other day in their tawdry lounge. The only food that was there was a piece of roast beef which looked like it was the sole of John Wayne's old boot. They also had emaciated Sushi. I asked if they would put more food out (after I found someone...they were hiding out the back) and they said not for another couple of hours. Then one of the staff decided to get the vacuum out and started doing the floors. It was obviously a ploy to get us out of there, the noise was terrible. The vacuum was cheaper than the food. What a cheap, lame and nasty airline. I have now voted with my feet and will never ever fly this apology for an airline ever again.
Tell everyone you know how hideous this airline is. Pity they don't get the same negative publicity Vodafone has received recently. I encourage everyone to spread the word. Jetstar is pathetic.

I always tell people how great this airline is. Are you sure your not being melodramatic? I can't argue with brand new aircraft and cheap fares.

You may be somewhat correct in Australia Macca.. but you cannot be further from the truth with regard to the Jetstar services in Vietnam - old planes, massive delays. And of course if everything goes right - everyone is happy.. but have something go wrong, like a cancellation or a delay- and you find out what you really have.

Macca dont assume all jetstar aircraft are new, some are old qantas hand me downs. as for those that were new when they started they are now getting on a bit so lets hope and pray that their maintenance service is scaled down as much as their customer service and reliability compared to full service airline. otherwise we are soon going to be i deep fried!

Only their A330 aircraft are Qantas hand downs and the oldest A330 is 8 years old. Some of their A320 aircraft are a bit over 5 years old but most are 2-3 years old varying from aircraft to aircraft as they took deliveries for more than half their current A320 fleet in the 2008-2009 season. Most worldwide airlines average their fleet to 15-20 years old. You have highlighted your ignorance not your intelligence writing that comment.
