Jetstar or deathstar, you decide?

After two years of avoiding Jetstar I made the fatal mistake of using the again, in 2008 they delayed my flight by two days, this impacted my annual leave and accommodation in Bali, ok whilst it was a pain I managed to make the changes I requires with work and our hotel in Bali, however this was not the end of it, on the return trip , due to a mechanical issue we were forced to wait at Denpasar airport for 7 hours whilst the Fixed the plane.

So with all of that forgotten I booked my holiday with my family for Jan 2011 again with Jetstar, well that was a joke as well the flight on Jan 2 was downgraded to a smaller plane, we were one of the lucky families who actually got on board, however to add insult to this the flight was delayed in taking off from Sydney and there was no in-flight entertainment which I had paid for prior to flying and we had to stop at Darwin for an hour to refuel and no refund on the in-flight entertainment, the return trip was a little better however when we tried to get into the lounge at Denpasar I was refused entry, not bad for a Platinum Qantas Flyer and was told they were instructed by Qantas to let the premium Jetstar seats into the lounge, this seemed a little confusing to me as I had no problem using the Qantas lounge in Sydney on our out bound trip.

Additionally after taking off from Denpasar to Sydney and 25 minutes into the flight there was a strong smell of fuel in the cabin, staff reaching for life jackets and oxygen however no information to the passengers on board from any of the flight crew of flight attendants.

I too will never fly Jetstar again unless there is no other option, I will tell my friends, family , colleges and the world to avoid Jetstar at all costs, what a backward way to run a business, no care or responsibility for paying customers!!!!
