Jetstar Ruined our Easter holidays by cancelling JQ11 OOL to NRT

We meticulously planned a holiday with our extended family to Tokyo over the Easter break. As we don't live at the Gold Coast we had booked an over night stay at a B & B. We were all on cloud 9 excitedly chatting about all the things we had planned and booked in Tokyo as we sat down to dinner the night before. Then came the message... your flight has been cancelled. What a joke, the plane didn't have any problems - I call bullshit. They do this all the time and can't even be honest about it. We were so emotional and left 0 decent options so had to cancel the whole trip and then madly scramble around trying to cancel all the pre-booked hotels, airport parking, travel insurance whilst also being out of pocket for their cancellation fees. I could not sleep that night and felt so depressed. Fuck you Jetstar, I will never try to save a buck and book with your shitty air line ever again. What a joke!!

Unfortunately Jetstar cancel

Unfortunately Jetstar cancel flights all too often, especially, it seems, if the flight isn't full enough for them to make a profit. Obviously they are not operating as a public service, they are operating as a business.
If the flight won't make bucks,
They don't give two f*cks!
And if the passengers complain,
They'll just do it again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
and again,
etc., etc.

Not to have a go at you mate

Not to have a go at you mate but of course they are a business. I am frustrated by their way of doing business and will never give them my custom again....and I'm not a fussy person. I understand that weather and machines are variables but they are straight up liars.

Hi Luke.. Don't cancell your

Hi Luke.. Don't cancell your travel insurance. If you have travel insurance they will cover the cost of all hotels booked due to not being able to use it because of the flight cancelation. we flew to new zealand and had travel insurance and the flight was delayed for 15hours which meant we couldn't pick up our hire car till the next day and we couldn't get to our first booking at the hotel in Kakoura 2 hours away from the airport. the insurance covered the transport to another hotel and a new hotel and the cancelation of the other hotel. as we couldn't cancell it with a refund from the hotel due to not giving them 24hours notice.
Now I know this does not make up for missing your whole holiday. but it will get your out of pocket expenses due to the flight cancellation which was no fault of your own. Good luck.
